Burdwan (West Bengal), June 19 -- In a breakthrough that could go a long way in making water safer, medical diagnosis cheaper and power supply less expensive, Indian researchers have got the patent for achieving a low-cost 'phenomenal fusion' of tiny semiconductor particles 'talking' to hemoglobin-like organic light-absorbing dye molecules in spontaneous binding.

The Burdwan University (BU) researchers have got the patent for creating a stable platform for building new materials, the certificate holders claimed. For common people, they added, it's set to bring tiny devices for internal drug delivery, and future tech like flexible electronics, smart packaging that detects spoilage.

The Central Government has awarded the BU a patent for 'Me...
