Kolkata, Aug. 11 -- West Bengal Health Minister Sharadwat Mukherjee on Tuesday warned private blood banks of strict action over alleged malpractices and regulatory violations, while asserting that the state has adequate stocks of blood.
The warning came at a meeting attended by representatives of 73 private blood banks, state and central officials, Drug Control authorities and officials of the State Blood Transfusion Council (SBTC). The National Blood Transfusion Council (NBTC) director joined the meeting virtually.
