Kolkata, June 8 -- : The West Bengal government on Monday ordered a reshuffle of the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, transferring or reassigning 179 officers across the state and Kolkata Police.
This happens to be one of the most extensive transfers of senior police officers in the state.
Kunal Agarwal, who was posted as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the West Bengal National Volunteer Force,has been appointed the new chief of the Detective Department of Kolkata Police.
The incumbent Detective Chief has been transferred as Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Policy.
Sparsh Nilangi, who was posted in the Intelligence Branch of West Bengal Police, will now be functioning as Deputy Commissioner of the Kolkata Police's cyber crime win...
