Shimla, March 10 -- The ongoing tensions in West Asia are beginning to create ripples far beyond the conflict zone, with tourism stakeholders in Himachal Pradesh expressing concern over possible impacts on the state's foreign tourist inflow.
Backpacker destinations such as Kasol, Tosh and Old Manali in Kullu district, along with Dharmkot in Kangra district, have long been known for their strong presence of Israeli travellers. Over the years, these hill settlements particularly in the Parvati Valley have developed a distinct backpacker culture, often informally described by travellers as "Mini Israel" because of the visible concentration of visitors from Israel.
