Chennai, May 15 -- As the Well Marked Low Pressure area over the Bay persists over the same region and brought good rains in Northern and southern districts of Tamil Nadu, the South West Monsoon is all set to set in over South Bay of Bengal and Andamans tomorrow, two weeks ahead of the scheduled date of June 1.
Perhaps, this was for the first time the onset of SW monsoon would happen well ahead of the scheduled date of either May last week or first week of June.
Meanwhile, heavy rains lashes several parts of the state, including in North and southern districts.
