Chennai, May 14 -- The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Bay persisted over the same region on Thursday promising rains in West Ghat, Cauvery delta an southern districts for the next 4-5 days.
Met office in an update said rainfall occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, while dry weather prevailed over Puducherry and Karaikal area.
It said yesterday's Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal persists over the same region at 0830 hrs of today and the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level.
