Hyderabad, June 8 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday said the People's Government is committed to building a welfare state through a "knowledge revolution" aimed at empowering poor and unemployed youth across Telangana.
After inspecting the proposed sites for the Dr B R Ambedkar Knowledge Center near Lower Tank Bund and the SC Hostel at Nimboli Adda, Bhatti Vikramarka said the government had sanctioned financial and administrative approvals for both projects.
The Ambedkar Knowledge Center will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 110 crore, while Rs 25 crore has been earmarked for the modernisation of the hostel, which will be renamed as the Babu Jagjivan Ram Knowledge Centre.
