Hyderabad, Aug. 7 -- Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, and Women & Child Welfare Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka on Friday called upon people to wear handloom garments at least two days a week, saying that supporting handlooms means standing by the families of weavers and preserving India's rich cultural heritage.
Addressing the National Handloom Day celebrations at People's Plaza, Necklace Road, Seethakka said the Telangana government is committed to enhancing the dignity of the handloom sector, ensuring continuous employment for weavers and expanding market access for handloom products.
