Nagpur, July 9 -- : Reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mining practices and business diversification, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) on Thursday signed its fourth Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Bamboo Development Board (MBDB), Nagpur, for undertaking commercial bamboo plantation over 28 hectares at Dhuptala Opencast Mine (OCM) in Ballarpur Area.
According to a press release issued by WCL, the MoU was signed by Dr Hemant Sharad Pande, Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) and Director (Technical), WCL, and Rishikesh Ranjan, Managing Director, MBDB, in the presence of Bikram Ghosh, Director (Finance) and Director (HR), WCL, and S S Paranjape, Director (Technical) (Projects & Planning), WCL.
