Kolkata, July 12 -- The West Bengal Health Department has intervened in the controversy over allegations that a woman lost her right leg after undergoing treatment at a 'Sebashray' medical camp launched by Trinamool Congress (Kalighat) national general secretary and Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee.

Health Minister Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay has called the woman, Malati Biswas, along with her family, to the state health department headquarters, Swasthya Bhavan, on Monday for a detailed discussion.
