Neeraj BaliChandigarh, Sept. 1 -- Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Tuesday attacked the Bhagwant Mann government over the reported brutal assault on a three-year-old girl in Gidderbaha, asking how criminals could become so fearless that even a child was not safe.
The girl was allegedly assaulted and later thrown near a railway track, according to the account cited by Warring. She is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The Congress leader said the case went beyond party politics and required an immediate police response because of the age of the victim and the circumstances in which she was reportedly found.
