Thiruvananthapuram, June 3 -- The Kerala Government has stepped in with urgent measures to address the persistent waterlogging that has disrupted normal life in the state capital.

Water Resources and Housing Minister Adv Monce Joseph chaired a high-level meeting at the Secretariat, which decided to take immediate, urgent interventions and develop a comprehensive master plan to provide a lasting solution to the problem.

Health, Family Welfare and Devaswom Minister K Muraleedharan and Transport Minister C P John participated in the meeting, which reviewed the causes of the recent flooding and identified both immediate and long-term measures required to improve the city's drainage system.
