Mumbai, Aug. 3 -- Maharashtra's political landscape has been stirred by speculation after senior BJP leader Pankaja Munde hinted at stepping back from active politics. Seizing the opportunity, senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has made a significant political pitch, urging Munde to leave the BJP and offering her a larger role, leading the state as Maharashtra's first OBC Chief Minister with the backing of the Congress and its allies.
Wadettiwar linked Munde's remarks to growing frustration and disappointment within the BJP. He claimed that the leader's concerns stem from a sense of being sidelined in the party despite her political stature and the decades-long sacrifice by her family in Maharashtra's polity.
