Kochi, Aug. 31 -- Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Monday called for a greater focus on research, innovation and industry-academia partnerships in higher education, stressing that institutions must go beyond producing degree holders and respond to the changing demands of the technology-driven job market.

Addressing the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET) and inaugurating Confluence 3.0, an Industry-Academia Summit on "India, Impact of AI", he said Kerala should leverage its strong educational base and talent pool to attract high-tech and knowledge-based industries, create local employment and enable reverse migration.
