Visakhapatnam, Sept. 26 -- The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) will organise the 11th edition of the Vizag Navy Marathon (VNM) on December 13 as part of the Navy Day celebrations, with registrations set to open on October 4.
The marathon, sponsored by the State Bank of India (SBI), will feature four categories - 42K, 21K, 10K and 5K.
Addressing a press conference here today, Race Organiser and INS Kalinga Commanding Officer Commodore S.S. Dhody said the organisers were expecting enthusiastic participation from Visakhapatnam residents to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
He said promotional activities had begun, with a promotional run and conditioning and strength-training programmes being organised at RK Beach.
