Thiruvananthapuram/Kanyakumari, Aug. 27 -- : A. Balakrishnan, All India President of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, and one of the organisation's earliest Jeevanvratis, passed away early Thursday at the age of 88 due to age-related ailments, bringing to an end more than five decades of dedicated service to the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and the cause of national service.
Balakrishnan, who had served as the sixth President of the RSS-affiliated service organisation since July 2020, was closely associated with the expansion of Vivekananda Kendra's educational and social-service activities, particularly in the northeastern region and Arunachal Pradesh.
