Glasgow, July 28 -- India produced a mixed bag of results on Day Five of the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday, with national record holder Vishal TK advancing to the men's 400m semifinals, ace swimmer Srihari Nataraj qualifying for the 100m backstroke semi-finals, and two para swimmers booking places in the S13 50m freestyle final, while Rajesh Ramesh and Sajan Prakash exited their respective events.
Vishal TK kept India's hopes alive in the men's 400m after finishing second in Heat 6 with a time of 46.49 seconds. The performance placed him 14th overall, comfortably inside the top 16 qualifiers for the semi-finals, which will be held on Thursday.
However, fellow Indian Rajesh Ramesh failed to progress after clocking 47.43 seconds in Heat 3. ...
