Visakhapatnam, July 10 -- Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat on Friday said the city's development would be guided by a vision of becoming one of India's leading green cities, asserting that there would be no compromise on pollution that threatens public health.
Speaking at a high-level review meeting on air pollution control chaired by Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) Chairman Krishnaiah, the MP said industrial growth and environmental protection must go hand in hand.
The meeting, attended by public representatives, district officials, APPCB members, industry representatives and officials of various departments, reviewed measures to curb air pollution in the city.
