Visakhapatnam, Oct. 25 -- Visakhapatnam District Collector Abhisikth Kishore on Sunday directed officials of all departments to remain on high alert and complete precautionary arrangements in view of a depression expected to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall to the region from October 26.
During a video conference on preparedness measures, the Collector said moderate to heavy rainfall was forecast on October 26 and 27, followed by very heavy rainfall on October 28 and 29. The depression was likely to cross the coast on October 28 or 29, with heavy rainfall possibly continuing after landfall, he said.
