Visakhapatnam, Oct. 21 -- District Collector Abhisikth Kishore on Wednesday directed officials to ensure foolproof security at strong rooms storing polled ballot boxes in urban and rural areas, with round-the-clock CCTV surveillance and strict adherence to State Election Commission guidelines until the completion of vote counting.
The Collector instructed officials to transport ballot boxes, along with the Presiding Officer's diary and ballot paper account, in designated vehicles under police security to the respective reception centres, following the prescribed routes.
