Thiruvananthapuram, March 11 -- Viral Kumbh Mela-sensation Monalisa Bhosle, whose photos from the Maha Kumbh Mela captured hearts across India, today tied the knot with her boyfriend Mohammed Farman in a ceremony held in Kerala, overcoming strong opposition from her family.
The couple, who had faced resistance due to their interfaith relationship, chose the Sri Narayana Guru Temple at Arumannoor, Poovar, Thiruvananthapuram, for their wedding.
Several prominent political leaders attended the ceremony, including Kerala Education Minister V. Sivankutty, CPI(M) State Secretary M.V. Govindan and MP A.A. Rahim.
