Patna, Aug. 7 -- Violence erupted in Patna on Friday after a man, identified as Manish Kumar, was killed in a bus accident in the Agamkuan police station area, with an angry mob blocking the road, clashing with police, and setting several vehicles, including a bus and three police jeeps, on fire.
According to eyewitnesses, local residents became enraged after the fatal road accident. They initially blocked the road in protest, but the demonstration soon turned violent. Protesters first set a bus parked on the road ablaze, before torching police vehicles and a media vehicle. The arson created panic in the area, forcing people nearby to flee for safety.
