Chennai, July 9 -- Leading solar PV module makers, Vikram Solar on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with the Tamil Nadu for establishing a Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) manufacturing facility with an investmentof Rs 15,037 crores offering jobs to 2,670 peopple.
The new facility would come up at Gangaikondan Sipcot Industrial Park in the southern Tirunelveli district.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Vijay and Industries Minister S Keerthana and company officials at the State Secretariat at an event organised by the Industry, Investment Promotion and Trade department.
