Pune, June 30 -- Renowned poet Vikram Malan Appaso Shinde has been appointed as the Maharashtra State General Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Parishad.
The announcement was made by the Parishad's National President, Dr. Sharad Gore here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gore said that writers and poets who have made significant contributions to Marathi literature should be entrusted with greater responsibilities. He also emphasized the need to encourage more young writers to actively participate in the literary movement.
