Mumbai, July 6 -- Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Vijay Vadettiwar, on Monday launched a scathing attack on the state government over the recurring monsoon-related tragedies across Mumbai and the state, demanding a high-level inquiry and stringent action against officials responsible for the administrative lapses.

Raising the issue immediately after the commencement of the Assembly session, Congress leader Vadettiwar highlighted that 12 people have lost their lives in the last 48 hours due to various incidents, including open manholes, tree collapses, and the tragic collapse of a building in Mankhurd.
