Chennai, Sept. 27 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay will be launching one of his government's flagship schemes -- "Thaimaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam" (Maternal Uncle'gold ring scheme) -- under which one gram gold rings will be given to babies in government hospitals, at the temple town of Madurai tomorrow.
Under the scheme, new born babies in all government hospitals will receive a one-gram gold ring as a gift from the maternal uncle. After launching the scheme at the Rajaji Government Hospital, Vijay is also scheduled to visit the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple, where the recent Kumbabhishekam was held.
