Chennai, Aug. 27 -- Amid disturbing reports of 83 of the 103 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu were either stranded or missing in the glacier burst triggered massive floods on the Nepal-Tibet border, Chief Minister Vijay on Thursday chaired a high-level review meeting to take stock of the situation and deputed a high level team to the flood hit country to coordinate in rescue and relief works and ensure safe return of the Tamils back home.

An official release said a total of 103 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu went for Kailash Manasarovar Yatra in two groups. While one group had 57 people--54 from various district of Tamil Nadu and three from Puducherry--the other group comprised of 49 people, all from Chennai.
