Chennai, June 29 -- Amid the opposition targetting the ruling TVK over inaction on increasing crimes against women and children and the drug menace and questioning his silence, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay on Monday reviewed the law and order, women's safety, anti-drug measures, and implementation of government schemes during a high-level conference of IAS and IPS officers.
Being organised a month after the TVK government assumed office, the 2-day meeting at the State Secretariat saw participation from senior officials including the DGP, department secretaries, District Collectors, and top police and IFS officers.
