Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 6 -- The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) has ordered a preliminary enquiry into alleged corruption and irregularities in road construction works carried out by PATI-BEL under the Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP), following a complaint lodged by contractor Sajan.
The enquiry was ordered by the Government after contractor Sajan submitted a complaint on October 23, raising allegations concerning the execution of KSTP road works and the settlement of contractors' bills.
In a communication dated November 5, Vigilance Director Manoj Abraham, IPS, directed the Superintendent of Police, Special Investigation Unit-I, to register a preliminary enquiry and investigate the allegations raised in the complaint....
