Chennai, April 8 -- Vodafone Idea (Vi), a leading telecom operator, on Wednesday launched 5G services in Chennai, marking asignificant milestone in the company's commitment to deliver fasterand enhanced connectivity to customers across India.
With this launch, Vi 5G is now available across all five metro cities -- Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai, in addition to 50 other cities strengthening its presence in India's top data markets.
Earlier, this month, the company had announced its plans to add 90 more cities nationwide. As part of its ongoing expansion plan, Vi will also extend 5G services to Coimbatore, Trichy, Salem, Tiruppur and Vellore in Tamil Nadu and the union Territory of Pondicherry by next month.
