Pune, May 8 -- On the occasion of the 75th birth anniversary of veteran boxing mentor late Madan Purandare, the Pune District Amateur Boxing Association on Friday organised a special seminar for sports organisers and athletes at Pandit Nehru Stadium in Pune.
Addressing the gathering, senior sports director Prof. Kushaba Pingale said that athletes should continue contributing to sports even after retirement by mentoring and encouraging young players.
He stressed that former sportspersons should remain actively associated with their respective sports clubs and organisations, participate in masters' competitions, and inspire the younger generation through their experience and dedication.
