New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- Congress general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal on Wednesday stepped up his attack on Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, demanding his immediate resignation and alleging that recent developments within the Election Commission had raised serious concerns over the management of electoral rolls and the functioning of the poll panel.
Speaking during the Congress's Goy Rakkhon Yatra in Goa, Venugopal referred to a report in The Indian Express about objections reportedly recorded by Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi on a range of issues relating to voter registration, electoral rolls and the handling of election data.
