Bengaluru, May 30 -- In a strong rebuttal to weeks of speculation over a possible power struggle in Karnataka Congress, party general secretary KC Venugopal on Saturday declared that the unanimous election of DK Shivakumar as Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader had demonstrated the party's unity and organisational discipline.
Addressing reporters in the presence of Randeep Singh Surjewala and Siddaramaiah, Venugopal said predictions of discord following the leadership transition had been proved wrong, with legislators rallying behind the decision of the Congress high command.
