Vijayawada, May 14 -- In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to follow austerity measures in view of the conflict in West Asia, the vehicles in Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's convoy was reduced to two from 12.

Earlier, the Chief Minister's convoy consisted of 12 vehicles. But now there are only two vehicles.

The Chief Minister on Thursday went to the Secretariat from his residence, located at Undavalli village, with only two vehicles. However the NSG commandos followed him in two other vehicles.

Interestingly, the Chief Minister's convoy did not consist of the pilot and escort vehicles.

Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan also reduced vehicles in his convoy to two.
