Kolkata, Oct. 28 -- Vedanta Group founder and chairman Anil Agarwal has expressed interest in setting up a plant in Asansol in West Burdwan district, with the project expected to generate 10,000 direct employment opportunities, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said on Wednesday after meeting the industrialist at the state secretariat, Nabanna.
Adhikari said the state government would extend all possible assistance to the group to facilitate the proposed investment.
He, however, did not disclose the proposed investment amount or the details of the plant.
