Varanasi, Feb. 21 -- : The Varanasi Municipal Corporation is working rapidly to make Varanasi a garbage-free city (GFC) within six months.
To this end, it has been decided to convert garbage dumping centers into portable compressor transfer stations (PCTS) as soon as possible. In this regard, the target is to close the Hartirth (Visheshwarganj) and Aurangabad garbage dumps within two months.
Municipal Commissioner Himanshu Nagpal inspected the Hartirth, Aurangabad, and Pilikothi garbage dumps on Saturday.
