Varanasi, Nov. 5 -- Police and security agencies in Varanasi have been alerted after receiving an email threatening a bomb blast on Diwali in the name of the Khalistani National Army. Security has been tightened in the wake of the threatening email.
According to the Municipal Corporation's public relations officer, a threatening message was received on the Municipal Corporation's official email address, which was immediately reported to the police.
The email contains threats regarding schools. It also mentions Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura. The email mentions temples but does not name them.
The period from November 8 to November 27 has been mentioned in the threat message.
