Varanasi, Aug. 17 -- A minor who left his home in the Baragaon police station area of Varanasi district in Uttar Pradesh was found safe in the Naxal-affected Simdega district of Jharkhand.

Following the instructions of Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal, a joint team of the Special Operations Group (SOG), Surveillance Cell, and Baragaon police station achieved success in locating the minor.

The Police Commissioner met with the family at the camp office on Monday.

According to the police, upon receiving information about the minor's disappearance from the Baragaon police station area on August 1, 2026, the Police Commissioner immediately took cognizance of the matter and gave directions for the minor's speedy and safe recovery.
