Prithviraj SinghDehradun, Oct. 22 -- The Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand has stopped the Friday weekly offs of Madrasas affiliated to it.
The decision was taken by the state education department after a directive issued by the State Minority Education Authority(SMEA) in this regard.
Around 206 madrasas that have either obtained or applied for recognition from the state education department will no longer have their weekly off on Fridays.
They will have to follow standard weekly holiday system as observed by other schools.
