Prithviraj SinghDehradun, April 17 -- The Uttarakhand government has decided to put madarsas under the scanner, conducting an intensive verification drive of the inmates in the non-hill areas of four districts.
The government has sent letters to the District Magistrates in four districts where the targeted madrasas are situated, namely Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital.
Officials in the Chief Minister's office informed that the government has decided to hold deep verification drives of the madarsa inmates, mainly in four districts of Uttarakhand including Dehradun.
