Lucknow, Sept. 9 -- Monsoon activity is expected to increase again in Uttar Pradesh.
Due to the formation of a low-pressure area in the region, rainfall is expected in many parts of the state over the next few days. The Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow alerts for several districts.
According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist at the Regional Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in the districts bordering Nepal over the next 24 hours. Heavy rainfall is also expected in some districts in the northern part of the state.
He said that after a slight decrease in monsoon activity, isolated heavy rainfall is expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh over the next three days.
