US troops will become ''food for sharks in Persian Gulf'' if they try ground invasion: Warns Iran

New Delhi/Tehran, March 29 -- Iran's Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters warned on Sunday that American forces would become ''food for sharks in the Persian Gulf '' if the US attempted any ground invasion or occupy Iranian territory.

Enrahim Zolfaqari, spokesman of the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, said in a statement that any ground invasion of Iran would result in devastating and humiliating consequences for US forces.

The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters is the operational headquarters of both of Iran's regular and religious armed forces--the Islamic Republic of Iran Armed Forces and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
