New York, Aug. 25 -- The Supreme Court said President Donald Trump could begin implementing parts of an executive order aimed at restricting mail voting, although further legal challenges could delay or prevent the plan from taking effect before the November midterm elections.
While the court described its decision as limited, the ruling has introduced new uncertainty over voting rules for the midterms. It keeps open the possibility that Trump could eventually implement measures outlined in his March order, which sought to give the US Postal Service and the Department of Homeland Security unprecedented roles in administering elections, CNN reported.
