Washington, Aug. 25 -- The US Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed President Donald Trump's administration to proceed with key provisions of an executive order aimed at tightening rules governing mail-in voting ahead of the November 2026 midterm elections.
In a 6-3 ruling, the court granted the administration's request for emergency relief in a case brought by 23 Democratic-led states and the District of Columbia. The Justice Department had asked the justices to lift a lower-court injunction that had blocked federal agencies from implementing parts of Trump's directive.
