Budapest, Sept. 14 -- The inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship concluded in Budapest on Sunday night, with American sprinters Melissa Jefferson-Wooden and Kenny Bednarek completing the women's and men's 100m-200m doubles respectively.

Jefferson-Wooden, who won the women's 100m in a world-leading 10.62 seconds on Saturday, dominated the 200m final in 21.47, moving to third on the all-time list.

The American powered out of the blocks and maintained her advantage through the second halfof the race to beat Olympic champion Gabby Thomas, who finished second in 21.77. Fellow American Kayla White took third in 21.93.

"I did not see 21.47 coming tonight," Jefferson-Wooden said after the race.
