Washington, Oct. 5 -- The US military killed four people in a strike on a vessel allegedly involved in narcotics trafficking in the Caribbean Sea, US officials said, in the latest series of military operations targeting suspected drug traffickers in the region.

US Southern Command said in a statement on X that its forces had "executed a lethal, kinetic strike on a go-fast vessel operating along established narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean."The command said it had "confirmed intelligence" linking the vessel to illicit drug trafficking and described those killed as "narco-terrorists." It did not provide details about the intelligence or publicly identify the individuals.
