New York, Sept. 2 -- Alexandra Eala-mania will continue in the second round of the US Open tennis after the Filipina star cruised past Mary Stoiana 6-1, 6-2.

With the crowd at Louis Armstrong Stadium fully behind her, the 17th seed got the job done in78 minutes against Stoiana, who was making her Grand Slam debut on this night and couldn't capitalise on the six break points she had for the match on Tuesday, according to olympics.com.

"Every exchange has its own challenges, especially in the start of the second set," Eala said.
