Washington/Tehran, June 18 -- Senior US officials have sought to clarify key provisions of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iran, and have actively stressed that Tehran will not automatically receive access to its frozen assets, sanctions relief or a multibillion-dollar reconstruction package simply by signing the agreement.
The clarification came following the release of the 14-point memorandum text on Wednesday, leading to different and contradictory interpretations from Washington and Tehran.
