Washington, July 24 -- The rapid pace at which the US is using advanced air-defence interceptors and precision-guided munitions in its war with Iran is creating increasing concern within the Trump administration over the military's ability to sustain operations and remain prepared for another possible conflict in the Indo-Pacific, according to US military and intelligence officials.
Officials familiar with internal assessments told CBS News that Washington's shrinking inventories of defensive interceptors and long-range missiles have become a very major concern in the Pentagon as military planners are trying to balance the ongoing campaign against Tehran with the need to deter other potential adversaries, particularly China and Russia.
