Washington/Tehran, June 5 -- The US military has rejected Iranian claims that its naval forces fired warning shots near two American destroyers in the Gulf of Oman, insisting no such confrontation took place.
In a statement posted on X on Friday, CENTCOM said Iranian forces had neither attacked nor opened fire on US warships operating in the region.
"Iranian forces did NOT attack or fire at US Navy warships," CENTCOM said.
"Doing so would be a gross violation of the ceasefire.
